Rental Water Heaters

Water HeaterIf you rent a water heater from Peterborough Utilities Inc., you may have received a call requesting an appointment to replace the anode in your water heater. This anode is installed at the factory and is designed to corrode and disintegrate – instead of your water heater. Over time, the anode can disappear completely. It is appropriately called a sacrificial anode.

On a yearly basis, we check all water heaters that hit a certain age and at that time, we change the anode, to extend the life of the water heater and prevent possible damage to your property due to a water-heater leak.
